"FLYING SCOTCHMAN" DERAILED,

London, September 14. In tho darkness, .five coaches of tho "Flying Scotchman" express (which was nearly .wrceked a few clays ago by an obstruction on tho line) were derailed at Chcvington, Northumberland. Ihe train wa-s travelling at a speed of fiftyfive miles an hour. The passengers were severely shaken, and there were somo remarkablo oscapes. . , The wheels were buried in the balJast and tjiis prevented the carriages from overturning. The permanent, way was torn up for a distanco of two hundred yards. . Tho cause of tho accident is a mystery; possibly it was duo to subsidence, owing to mining operations.
