FIRES IN "THE CITY.
At 10.14 p.m. last evening the brigades wero called out to suppress an outbreak at 133 Vivian Street, a twostoried shop and dwelling, owned by Mrs. TV. G. Reid, 129 Vivian Street, and occupied by Mr. Asher Asher, as a furniture warehouse. Ono room, used as a workshop, and its contents were destroyed, and the remaindor of tho contents of the building were somewhat damaged by heat and smoke. The cause of tho outbreak is not known, as no one had been on tho promises all day. The contents are covered "in the London, Liverpool, and Globo Office for £400; the insurance on the building was not ascertainable last night. Shortly aftfcr midnight on Saturday a firo wa3 discovered in tbo bedroom of a five-roomed house, No. 69 Vivian Street, occupied by Mr. Louis Boa, and owned by Mrs.' Coley. The contents of the houso woro insured in the State Office for £50. An alarm was raised and tho fire was soon suppressed, but not before corsiderablfTdamage had been dono.
