ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE.
: 4— 'AN 'AUCKLAND AGITATION. (By Taleerapli.—Press Association.) Auckland, September 13._ A requisition with two hundred signatures, Including those of representatives of local bodies and commercial and professional men, has been presented to the Mayor requesting him to oonvene a public meeting to consider the administration of justice in the Supreme Court of this district., The Mayor stated that ho was impressed with the standing of the petitioners in the community, and would consider their request. He would 'give an answer on Tuesday next. Personally, he •thought the legal profession should expresj its opinion in the matter one way or the other. He added "An opinion from the Law Society would bo most helpful to mvsolf as Mayor, and to the rest of tho com- • munity, in coming to a decision upon such an important matter as tho administration of justico in Auckland." The Law Society will meet on Monday evening next to consider the subject matter of the requisition.
