i PETONE CLUB'S REPORT. ■ On Monday evening tho Petone Cricket Club will hold its fourth annual meeting. Tho report states that the first eleven' played nine matches, and though they won but four they are to bo congratulated on the standard of play shown, every player finishing up with a doublo figure average. Tho third eleven played-17 matches, winning 13 and being bracketed with Brooklyn as winners of the championship. Messrs. Brice and Finlayson arc congratulated on gaining places in the Wellington representative team, Mr. A. Cates on winning the President's trophy, and Mr. C. H. Wynyard on performing the hat trick. Tho balance-sheet shows a balance of assets over liabilities of £20, a small credit balance in hand, and new nets and firstclass material' to commence the season with. Tho club thanks the president (Dr. Ross) for donating a trophy, and also Mr. Steinmuller for gonerosity in entertaining the third-claEs team.
