The PRIME MINISTER explained that ho intended to move that the Bill bo read a second time pro forma, and referred to tho Labour Bills Committee. A BORROWINC BILL. Tho Aid to Public Works and Land Settlement Bill was introduced by Governor's Message and read a first- time. The Hon. JAS. ALT,EX said that the Bill provided for borrowing £1,750,000,
