HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL.

At the monthly meeting of tho Hutt County Council yesterday, Councillor W. Galloway presided. A deputation from the Horowhenua County Council waited 011 the meeting in regard to the adjustment of tho boundaries between the Hutt and Horowhenua Counties, relative to tlio maintenance of tho Ngatiawa Bridge and tho Reikorangi-Hutt Eoad. Mr. G. A. Monk, a member of the Horowhenua County Council, put tho case on behalf of this county. Councillor "ff. J. Howell was appointed to confer with the representative of tho Horowhenua County on the question. • ... It was reported that the bridge, which is being built ovor the Paekakariki Stream, is approaching completion. Tho piers are of concrete and the stringers and decking of totara. Instructions were given to the road inspector to appoint a foreman to supervise the work being dono in connection with the 60 chains of road formation at the Government township at Trentham. A motor-cycle is to be purchased for the use of the road inspector as it is believed that this is necessary in the interests of the ratepayers. The clerk was instructed to obtain information as to the best types of machine available and to write to tho city engineer for advico on tho matter.
