MINISTER FOR WORKS ON TRIAL. By Telegraph—mm Association—Copyright (Rec. September 12, 0.10 a.m.) Sydney, September 11. In tho New South Wales State _ Assembly Mr. Wade (Leader of the Opposition) moved a vote of censure against the Ministert'for Public Works (Mr. A. Griffith), in connection with his administration of railway works. • Mr. Wado condemned tho administration of the Works Department, and impugned tho action of Mr. Griffith' in connection with certain land transactions in a certain neighbourhood, where public works were about fo Uo carried out. Tho speaker declared that the charges were based upon documents signed cither by Mr. Griffith himself, or from the records of Parliament. In his reply, Mr. Griffith declared that if Mr. Wade proved one thing against him lis would resign. Mr. Holman (the State Premier) defended Mr. Griffith, and ridiculed tho wliolo indictment. Ho declared that Mr. Wade's facts wore a miserablo procession of shreds and tatters of suspicion. Ho protested against wasting tho time of the Houso in such fatuous tittle-tattle. . The Government proposes to force a division before adjourning.
