THE BIG MAICI-I ON SATURDAY. Tho New South Wales touring' League team will arrive in Wellington from Wanganui this evening at 7.20 o'clock. Tho team will stay at Barrett's Hotel, and on Friday tho Mayor will give the visitors a reception at the Town Hall Concert Chamber at 5.30 p.m. The official League note states that tho match at Newtown Park botween the visitors and tho local representatives is being looked forward to with interest. Last year a New South Wales team played a Wellington team it the Park, but- the local men were raw at- the game, and conse.tjucntly suffered severe defeat. Since/then, however, adds the.note, the League game has made w'-onderful progress in Wellington and the standard of play has greatly improved. Tho local team contains six New Zealand rcpresentaive players and their experience and :wiwledge of the League game will go long way towards extending the visting champions.
