HARRIERS.
The Central Harriers yesterday decided their club championship at Miramar. F. G. Ilodson »vas the winner by a good margin. The course started from tho old golf house, led across Mirainar to the gasometer along the. road, and up the hill beyond tho Anglican Church, then going across the flat till tho road was reached and then back to the golf house. This course was gone over twice to make up the distance (5 miles). A good field faced the starter (Mr. Ballantyne). M. Payntor led from the start, closely followed by Hodson, Burrill, and Duck. At the end of the first lap. Rutledgo had displaced Duck, Payntor. having pulled out. Hodeon then had a good lead from liurrell, and Rutledgo, who were next in order. The placed men were: F. G. Ilodson, scr., (time, 27min. 23sec.), 1;-F. Burroll, 20scc. (27min. 18sec.), 2; D. W. Rutledgo, oOsec. (27min. 44sec.), 3. The sealed handicap, run in conjunction with this race, was won by D. W. Rutledge, with Aldridgo a good second.
