With the coming of wnnnor weather the fact that tho ventilation of tho House of Representatives is far from efficient is becoming increasingly evident. Between 8 and 9 o'clock last evening the air in tlio House was almost stifling. At the time there wore 133 strangers in the galleries and seated mound tho floor,. besides half a dozen Legislative Councillors in the gallery set apart for their use. Later in the evening, when tho galleries emptied, tho air was noticeably clearer. Mr. Isitt yesterday afternoon gave notice to ask the Prime Minister whether lie would see that tho practice of placing extra chairs on the floor of the House for the accommodation of the public was not carried to such an extent as to incommode members when going to and from their seats as at present.
