Drucc, Downing, J. Graham, J. Douglas. Emergencies: Back, A. J. 31'Gregor; forward, J. T. Wylie. I Wellington will bo represented by:— Full-back,, J. Ryan; three-quarters, Young, Kinvig, E. Byau; five-eighths, M'Leod, llamsden; half, Nunn; wing- ; forward, Cumiinghaine; pack, W. Sullivan, Francis, K. Paton, H. Paton, Wilson, M'Kay, Miller. The refereo for the match is.Mr. J. Tho manager of tlio Now Zealand team (Mr. Mason) was asked late last night if there were to be any alterations in tho abovo selection (which is tlio original choice for tho match), and replied that it had been decided to play tho team as picked. This settles dolibt as to whether Stolir will appear or not. Stohr has passed tho doctor, who examined liim with particular care, in view of liis recent injury. Ho is now practically as well 'as possible. Tho authorities wero very desirous that ho should play. PASSING THE DOCTOR. With ono or two exceptions tho members of tlio team had, yesterday afternoon, submitted to examination by Dr. M'Evedy, and had been passed. The others may havo been examined by now. A SEND-OFF. ST. PATRICK'S COLLEGE FUNCTION. About 70 old boys and present boys of St. Patrick's College assembled at Godfcer's, Cuba Street, last night, to givo a hearty send-off to Messrs. J. M'Koiizie and T. Lynch, who are members oftlio All Black team which leaves for California on Friday. Tho gathering was organised by the St. Patrick's Collego Old Boys. Mr. 31. J. Crombie presided. Among tlioso present wero Rev. Father Eccleton, Dr. Cahill, and Dr. M'Evedy. The toast of "The School" was proposed by Dr. Cahill, who, after pointing out that ''St. Pat's" had played its part in Rugby, expressed tho hope that the present All Blacks would maintain the great reputation for play and behaviour that New Zealand footballers had hold ever since tho Maori team had gono homo in tho 'eighties. The chairman proposed "Our Guests." He, too, pointed to tlio School's part ill Rugby. Among tlio players the college had turned out, ho mentioned Diamond (Victorian captain), Dr. M'Evedy (British international), Dr. O'Brien (British international), Redwood lian representative), E. Harper (1005. All Black), and the guests of the evening (31essrs. M'lvenzio and Lynch)..Ho expressed the opinion that New Zealand could turn out as good a team today as in- former years, and he predicted that the coming tour would do so much, good that in a few years there would bo a whole series of international tours. Oil behalf of. tho gathering, he presented Messrs. M'Kenzie and Lynch each with a cigarotte case.' Jlr. J. P. Ryan proposed the toast of tho Wellington Rugby Union, to which body ho paid a player's tribute. The secretary of tho, union (Jlr. W. G. Talbot) responded. CUP PRESENTED,, 3lr. Reginald' L. Evatt, an old boy of St. Patrick's College, has presented a cup to bo played for every year by old boys of St. Patrick's College and present boys of tho institution. This season the present boys defeated the old boys, and Dr. M'Avedy throw out a challenge last night .at the send-off to Messrs. M'Kcnzio and Lynch for fresh match in which tho past students might find revenge. The Rev. Father Eccleton, on behalf of tho presont boys, accepted the challenge, and humorously observed that his side hoped on the next occasion to meet opponents whose lock did not send tho ball out with his hands, whose wingforward did not point, and _ one of whose five-eighths was noj, saving himself for a trip to California. REQUEST THAT WAS REFUSED. Civil Sen-ants desirous of seeing the Rugby football match at Athletic Park this afternoon will be allowed to do so, but the Government offices will not bo closed. . The secretary of the New Zealand Rugby Union states that tho Mayor (3ir. J. P. Luke) was approached 1 to declare a public holiday, but declined to entertain tho idea. : WAIRARAPA HO3IE AGAIN. The touring Wairarapa football'team returned home yesterday morning, and speak highly of tlio'treatment received while on travel. S. Sievers was the only ono injured. He will bo laid up with a strained ankle for some'time. HOUSE MATCH. The staff of Messrs. Johnston _ and Co. have issued invitations to friends to attend at Kelburno Park this afternoon to witness a football match between the "Green 'Stripe" representatives and the "Glaxo Bonnie Babies." The match is to begin at 3 p.m. ,
