In view of tlio coming Wangamii tournament, tho Wellington team were looking forward lo a practice, but although they braved tlio, elements for a while, the wretched weather finally had its way, and tlio gamo was abandoned. Tho senior men struggled through with their trial gamo, but naturally enough it was not a very inspiring exhibition. Some of tho junior gainoo were postponed Senior Trial. Tho trial game was rather more interesting than one would expect under suoli conditions. The representative forwards had tho B backs fairly mystified at times, and Dwyer (who was in goal for the B's) was given plenty of exerciso. TJio. forwards in tho B team showed little or no combination, and although they paid frequent enough visits to tho enemy's circle, to score twice ivas tho best | they could do. Sheeran and Jackson scored their goals, l'or tho winners, C. Strack (2), Boyd (2), Campbell, Thompson, and Richards contributed the score, tlio gamo resulting :—Representative team, 7 goals;.B team, 2. Junior Crado, Victoria College A defeated. Wellington by 3 goals to nil. Salek (2) and Jones obtained tho goals. Third Class. United took tlio field against Wellington A with only six men, and after a little while it was agreed to abandon the game. Wellington A scored 7 goals. f K.Y.M.I, defaulted to Hutt Volley. The Kilbirnie Anglican and Wellington B gamo was postponed. Ladles' Team, , The team finally selected to represent Wellington .it tho Wanganui tournament is as follows Goalkeeper, Miss 0. Roadloy; full-backs, Misses D. Tinney and K. Cameron; halves. Misses M. Newman, N. Brown, and R. Wood; forwards, Misses M. M'Donnell, M. Dement, M. Harris, K.' Pickering, and N. Lang. Emergencies: Missos W.-Thomp-son (full-back), H. Laurenson, and ' I. Simpson (forwards). ■ Tho selected team started out to play an eiglit-a-sido game on Saturday, with tho idea of getting some practice, but after throo goak had been registered it was decided to abandon tho gamo. Tho A team scored twice (Misses M. Harris and Evans), and Misß Laurenson' scored for tlio losers. Mr. Manning was referee. 'Nordon Gup. Hamilton, tho holdors of the Nordon Cup, defeated Poverty Bay on Saturday •by three goals to two. —Press Association.
