PENCARROW WRECK.
A DESERTED SHIP. On account of tho very heavy northwesterly galo which blow with unabated fury throughout yesterday, 110 salvaging work could be done on tho steamer Devon. As tho wrecked steamer was working considerably under tho iufluenco of tho heavy seas at tho Heads, it was not considered prudont for anyone to remain 011 board during tho day. As soon as tho weathor moderates, tho work of salvaging tho cargo in tho forehold will bo resumed. Mr. Hubert Nathan has given notice that lie will move at tho next meeting of tho Harbour Board: — "That in view of the agreement that exists between tho shipping companies, Harbour Board, and tho waterside workers, the board take into consideration and doterminc what action should bo followed to mark the board's disapproval of tho casual workers in refusing to work ITTo salved cargo ex tho stranded steamer Devon 011 Monday, September 1." •
