Nowb has been received of tho total loss of tho British three-masted wooden schooner Mersey, near tho Isle of Pinos, South of Cuba. The vessel drifted on to the beach and sank. Tho crew* wore saved after escaping from tho attacks of i>onio Sanblas Indians, who attempted to loot the schooner.
