L. .Forrest, an, ~ ex-member of Parliament, Who died a.year ago, left au estate valued at £103,137, of wtfiich over £80,000 was bequeathed to creato a trust for charitable and philanthropic purposes. Charles ■L. Forrest, a nephow, as being the only next-of-kin, has sought the Court's ruling as to whether the trust was void, on. the ground of uncertainty. ,Tho Chief Justice, delivering judgment on the point, declared that Forrest died l intestate, and that the whole trust was void on, account of uncertainty. All tlhe monov therefore goes to tno nephew upon his clcarly establishing himself as the sole next-of-kin.
