CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

Mr. C. W. Jones presided at yesterday's meeting of tho Council of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce. There wero also present Messrs. James Macintosh, Geo. Wilson, W. G. Dutliie, and E. G. Pilcher. ' A letter was received from tho Minister for Justico (the Hon. A. L. Herdman) stating that thero was 110 possibility of a Bankruptcy Bill being brought down this session. The president reported that a local deputation had been unsuccessful in an attempt to get tho Government support" for tho Daylight Saving Bill, which had again bo shelved.
