ASSOCIATION.

CORINTHIAN CLUB-LAST WORD. A special meeting of tho New Zealand Football Council was held last evening to consider what has become to bo known as "The Corinthian Case." Mr.

L. White presided, and tho following delegates were also present:—Messrs. A.'Newbold (Auckland), J. J. Ince (Manawatu), W. J. H. Reynolds (Poverty Bay), H. M'Kcowen (Hawke's Bay), A. Williams (Wellington), C. Fordham (Otago), H. Salmon (Southland), J. J. Roberts (vice-president), A. Kerr (treasurer), and B. T. Salmon (secretary). Tho wholo of tho correspondence which has been considered at recent mcotings of the W.F.A. and before tho Appeal Board, together with copies of all evidence, was taken in committee. At tho conclusion of the meeting it was announced that all suspensions | which had been passed by tho W.F.A. in this particular case had been eonfirmed and censures approved. In regard to tho case of the Corinthian linesman, although the W.F.A'. had practically censured him only, tho New Zealand Council passed a resolution suspending him from taking any part in Association football till tho beginning' of 1915. The next business considered was tho letter Which was received from the lato secretary of the Corinthian Club in which tho. writer announced the club's withdrawal from the W.F.A. Tho Management Committee of tho W.F.A. had passed a. resolution suspending the officials and Management Committee of tho club from taking anv further part in Association football. This suspension was confirmed, with the exception that tho word "officials" was deleted from the original motion. TOURING SCHOOLBOYS. (By Telegraph —Prosa Association.) Blenheim, September 1. The Porirun schoolboys were defeated by Marlborough schdol representatives on Saturday by 5 goals to 2.
