The New South Wales Rugby Leaguo team mot Auckland to-day before an attendance of 10,000 spectators. Soon after tlio start of the game _ Weston, saved twice by brilliant collating, and ItVcrson was given an ovation_ when ho stopped a ccrtain score by Algie. Hayward, the Auckland forward, went off hurt, and Manning took iis place. Deano mado a Rood start and got to tlio Auckland three-quarter lino. Ifwerson got clear away' onco, but his own side appealed for a breach of the obstruction rules, and ho was brought back. The _ last-named got over again right behind 1 . An easy chance to convert was lost—New South Wales, 14; Auckland 1 , 0. A feature of tho game was Potone's five unconverted trios. For Petono, Johnston, Barber, Davidson, and Ishorwood were prominent, and. for Athlotio, Duncan, Ferris, Edmonds, and Bott played well. Mr. C. Murphy was referee. ThePotone "B" and "0" match was willing and ovon, the final score being 8 all." Brown and Woollott scored fot the "B" team, tho former's; try being converted. Parrant and Finn scored (a trv each) for the "A" team, and Hewson kicked a penalty-goal. Mr. Reosby was referee. ■'
