BOTHA AND HERTZOG.
—9— — ! MEETING OF SOUTH AFRICAN i PARTY. , By Telegraph—Press Association—CopyriKht Capo Town, August 29. A large meeting of tho South African Party was held at Fordsburg, in tho Johannesburg district. Mr. Visser, chairman of General Hortzog's committee, suggested tho creation of two branches cf the party—one Dutch, the other English-speaking. Dr. Krause, promising that tho leaders' differences were purely personal, t rpmarked that, although ho was a personal friend of General Hertzog, ho • thought tho latter was anything but a good party man in refusing to abido by the decision of the Congress. Ho con- - eluded by declaring that General Botha 1 (tho Primo Minister) was entitled to - whole-hearted support. The allegation s that General Botha was pledged to tho capitalists, and in league with tho Unionists, was all nonsense.
