The eighteenth annual dinner of tho Yorkshire Society of Now Zealand is fixed for Monday, September '.2 'Dominion Day), in Godber's rooms, Cuba Street-. As is usual at this event, tho Prime Minister (Hon. W. F. Massoy) is to_ be present, and a host of ether distinguished persons in political and legal ciu-les will attend. This society vat formed in 1895, and is therefore cue of the oldest societies of its kind in Iho Domjnion. A good old-fashioned "l'oikshiro feed," followed by speeches and firstclass entertainers, is to bo tho order of tho evening.
