Mr. J. D. Clarkson, of Christelmrch, leaves by this morning's express to catch the Vancouver steamer at Auckland. After visiting Canada and' the United States, Mr. Clarkson will go on to England and the Continent, returning to Now Zealand in February. Sir Alfred Fcarce Ciould lias sent 4MGOO to the Middlesex Hospital for the purchaso of radium, which is to bo used for the treatment of pationts buffering from malignant disoaso.
