; FOR YARRA BAY MURDERER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, August 27. The State Government is offering £100 reward for information that will throw light on Yarra Bay murderer; also a free pardon to any accomplice informing, providing he is not the actual murderer. On August 19 last an aboriginal [girl was gathering bottles discarded by Sun-, day picnickers in the scrub at Yarra Bay, When she discovered the body of a man with a bullet wound in the back. Later the body was identified as that of Charles John Stratton, a wharf labourer,, 33 years of age, who left bis home at Chippendale on the Sunday afternoon, saying that he was going to Yarra Bay to play two-up. A MELBOURNE MYSTERY. Melbourne, August 27. Tho police, 'despit c\ all searching investigation, have no cluo regarding the death of an old man, Richard Knight, whose body was found near his hut, the head being almost blown off. A gun was found in tho scrub, near the body.
