At the inquest in connection with tho death of Joseph ' Donne, who was shot dead wliile talking to his wife in tho street, evidence was given that the couple had had a misunderstanding, and that the husband had sent for his boxes on tho morning of tho tragedy. Tho wife refused to givo them ,up, and went into tho shop where her.husband was .working armed with a revolver. Slio. declared she did not intend to slioot her husband, and that tho gnn went olf by accident.

A verdict of wilful murder was returned against Mrs. Donne, who excitedly cried, "You cannot, call it murder, not wilful murder."
