London, August 25. • The marriage of the daughter of the Gaekwa-rof Baroda with a brother of the Maharajah of Kucli Behar took place to-day. Tho ceremony was to have taken place in May last, but shortly before tho date fixed a sensation was caused in Calcutta by tho announcement that the ■ engagement had been broken off.-.
. To-day's wedding was a picturesque affair. There were three religious and civil ceremonies, including ' tlio brido's admission to the Brahmin creed. ("Times"—Sydney "Sun" Special Cables.) (Rec. For the first portion) of tho ceremony phe was dressed in European style, but for the last all the participants wore in native costume.
