' Four military aeroplanes co-operated in tho manoeuvres of the Southern Division. Despito a prevailing fresh wind, tho aviators throw down little bags containing reports, with streamers attached. Cipher orders wore sent to the aviators by displaying black lettors six feet long, on white canvas pegged to tho ground. The position of a concealed battery and the effect of slrrapnel fire wore reported by tho air-scouts with sufficient success to justify each brigade of artillery being accompanied by aeroplanes..
