' Mr. H. y. Braddon, the old New Zealand and New South Wales full-back and three-quarter back, has been reelected president of tho Sydney Chamber of Commerce (says the "Sydney Referee"). Mr. Braddon is general • manager of Messrs* Dalgety and Co. A shocking accident occurred at a railway. crossing at Wolsingham, County Durham, in July. . A young fanner named Henry Stobbs was driving a hor.ie and cart over the crossing when a train crashed into them, both man and horso being killed. A shocking accident occurred recently on tho Midland Railway at Biilwoll, Nottingham, two obys employed at tho Springfield Hosiery; Finishing Company's factory, yarned Skidmore and Clayton, aged 11, being killed. They wero hurrying across tho line on their return to / work, when they were knocked down by an express train and instantly killed.
