v NINE FEDERAL VICTORIES. By TekEiapli—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. August 24, 5.5 p.m.) . Maxico City, August 23. Nino fights have been reported, 'all resulting in Federal victories. The officials report that tho military situation is greatly improved, and that the rebels are disheartened. One hundred and seventy-five rebels and eight Federals were killed in three fights. FUNDS TO PROTECT AMERICANS. ("Times"—Sydney "Sun." Special Cables.) Washington, August 22. 'A. resolution introduced in the Senate proposes to allot President Wilson five millions sterling for tho protection of tho lives and property of Americans in Mexico.
