\ WOOL SCHEDULE CRITICISED. By Telerraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. August 24, 6.6 p.m.) Washington, August 23. The fight over the wool schedule of the Tariff Bill has begun in the Senate, the Republicans strongly objecting to the reductions; Two Senators spoke' for six hours, characterising the schedule as a political tariff instead of being, as the Democrats claimed, for revenue purposes only. Senators Boies and R. M. La Folletto proposed alterations, but the Democrats refused to discuss them. Senator -Penrose claimed that the Bill unduly favoured Britain. Actually to Britishers the measure seemed too good to be true.
