CERCLE FRANCAIS.
The programme presented to the members of the French Club at the weekly meeting on Thursday evening, consisted of a series of interesting sketches from the pen of Mr. J. Osborne, in which he describes some remaikable personal experiences in different parts of the world.' Fiom the picturesque "Necropole of Hong-Kong," and "Le bocage dea esprits" of Kiang-su, where the spirits of the living temporarily freed from the disabilities of the flesh, meet in sweet communion, the writer carried his hearers to Treves, then to Barcelona, and related a highly amusing encounter with a fanatical Musselman. In the unavoidable absence of Mr. Osborne, tho papers were ably read by Monsieur Duffou, who prosided. During tho evening Miss Gibson contributed an excellent and instructive reading entitled "Une Parisienne a Constantinople." , A hearty voto of thanks was passed to Messrs. Osborne and Duflou and Mons. Gibson.
