Dunedin, August 22. Tho Dunedin Waterside Workers' Union held a ballot yesterday on the question as to whether they should join the United Federation ■of Labour. At a meeting of some 70 people representative of tho towm and suburbs tonight, Mr. C. J. Harper (chairman of tho Ashburton County Council) presiding, it was unanimously resolved to form an Ashburton Honorary Territorials' Association. Mr. Harper was elected president. The Very Rev. Dean O'Donnell, the Revs. J. R. Burgin, W. J. Elliott, and James luges, and Messrs. W. Noswortliy, M.P., and John Studholme were elected vicepresidents, and a strong and representative committee was set up. Seventy members were enrolled in the Toom.
