.WELLINGTON CENTRE MEETS,
The annual mooting of tho Wellington Bowling Centro wns held last V. Diinock presided. The annual report and tho balancesheet were adopted. Tho report said, inter alia:—"The past season can ho chronicled ns tho most succefisful tho Centre has experienced. Tho membership has shown an increase, tho number of clubs affiliated fit tho end of tho season being thirteen. Since then Otaki and Seatoun havo joined, and it is expected that our number will bo further increased bv tho «Hi 11 tion of Eastbourno and Upper liutt. • . . During tho pnst senfloTi tho bowling associations in tho • Dominion havo amalgamated, and on© governing body, known as tho Dominion of New Zealand "gjfl* ing Association, has been fonned. Ihjo Wellington Centre is now affiliated w this association. This new departure has extended our interests inasmuch as all dubs within our boundary nro now directly under our jurisdiction." Tho following officers wero olected: Chairman, Mr. J. A. PLimmer; vico-chaiT-man, Mr. E. J. Hill; treasurer and peoretnry, Mr. J. J. Roberts; committee, Messrs. V, Dimodc, W. J. Hueston, T. L. Churchward, E.. W. Moult, -S. J. Birch, S. 3. Underwood, C. A, Marquis; audito-r, Mr. J. "\V. luniiiburgh. , It was decided to recommend to tflo .oonunittco that tlve annual local tournament should bs held on January 1, and 3; and, also, that the byo tournamont should bo played in Auckland this y e^ r ' It was resolved to invito ov<xry club to Mind in the names of bowlers wmii l " to form a touring team to go to tho boutti Island in January. . _ It was resolved that tho final gam eg for tho Hill Pins and tih>a Edwin Peathers should bo played not later than tho. last Saturday and the last Wednesday in March, instead of April (as .now), provided that all clubs whioh wish to compete have liad-a game. In connection with the Edwin Feathers it was resolved that they should !>e played for onco a week, on a Saturday or any other day mutually agreed upon by tho holders and the challengers. c i i The voting for the North Island awegates to tho council of the new Dominion Association was takon in committee. Votes of thanks to tlio charrman for lis conduct of tho Centre's business,; and to the press for their reports of mcoticgß find tournaments, were passed.
