Midway in tho spell Duukloy (Marlborough) made a long kick near his own twenty-live, and the forwards cha=ed the leather right down to tho Wairarapa full-back (Yates), who mulled atrociously. Pigow picked up and scored in am easy position. Lano converted. LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP. The concluding play in conncction with the Wellington Golf Club's ladies' championship took place at the Heretaunga Jinks yesterday. The links were in capital condition, and the contest between Miss -Pearce and Mrs. L. Brown, in the final for the senior cha'mnionship, created a. good deal of intern*. Miss Pearce succeeded in .defeating Mrs. Brown. In the junior championship final Mrs. King defeated Miss Stewart. In the handicap bogey match, Miss V. 801 l was one, up on bogey first, and' Miss B. Watson was one down on bogey second.

ALCOCIC CRYSTALATE CUP. The most important Rama in the above tournament was played last evening, when A. Wakem (the present holder) met Geo. On'mstona (a winner of a CrystaJate Cup outright). THE PORT NICHOLSON CLUB. At a committee meoting of the Port Nicholson Yacht Club on Wednesday evening, Oho annual report and balancesheet (to bo presented at tho annual meeting) were disoussed. Tlio draft balancesheet indicated that £5o 17s. Gd. was paid out in prizes during the season, exclusive of trophies donated. There is a oash. credit balance in hand, after paying all liabilities, and pifcsing one shilling per member to the reserve fund. The ohib's assots were stated to bo about £40. It was resolved to endeavour to obtain, permission to hold an art union for the purpose o£ augmenting tilio building fund.

MARIST OLD BOYS. Tho annual meeting of tho Marist Brothers' Old Boys' Cricket Club was held on Wednesday evening, tho Rev. Bro. Ponatis presiding. The annual report stated that tho senior team, which was composed in the main of the previous year's juniors, had a very successful season, winning nine game 9 out of twelve. Tho junior team was also a successful combination, securing, second' place on tho championship list. Towards the end of the season a team composed of both junior and senior members travelled to Blenheim to play the Blenheim Shamrock Club. The match was won easily. The travellers, however, went down to a combined team by five wiokots. The financial statement showed the club to have a credit balance. After discussion the report and balancesheet were adopted. It was resolved to enter a senior, and possibly o. junior, team in the W.B.C.L. competitions, and also, if possible, a third cla9S teanf. It was also decided to rent a pitch on the Basin Reserve for practice purposes. The .following motion, proposed by tho chairman and seconded by Mr. A.
