THREE WEEKS' EXTRA TIME. Tlie Committee of the Legislative Councii set up to invest! Kate, the Legislative Council Bill was yesterday given three ,weeks' additional time within which to report. Th» period at first fixed expires to-day. but tlio report is veryfai from being ready yet. As already stated 1 a subcommittee has bean collecting all available information on the subject. This subcommittee .reported to. the whole committee yesterday morning, and ill order that members might have some opportunity of considering the mass'of mater'ial put before them, the committee adjourned until Friday. Then, for the first time, members will really have an opportunity of discovering how little or how much' they differ in opinions. They have had no opportunity of doing this yet, and it is therefore impossible to say what they will recommend.
