This subcommittee .reported to. the whole committee yesterday morning, and ill order that members might have some opportunity of considering the mass'of mater'ial put before them, the committee adjourned until Friday. Then, for the first time, members will really have an opportunity of discovering how little or how much' they differ in opinions. They have had no opportunity of doing this yet, and it is therefore impossible to say what they will recommend.
