Tudor (Minister for Trado and Customs in the late Fisher Ministry) created a sensation in the Federal House by Btating that the Government had proclaimed the Sugar Bounty and Excise Abolition Act at a time when, the Colonial Sugar Company held huge reserves, upon which duties amounting to .£IOO,OOO would havo be'en levied had the proclamation been slightly delayed. .
