ROSENEATH RATEPAYERS.
A meeting of the Roseneath and Oriental Bay Municipal Association was held in tho Roseneath Schoolroom last, evening, Mr. T. W. Ward presiding. About twenty-seven members wero present. A discussion took place regarding the mode-of election of Mayors. It was decided to write to the silting member of Parliament stating that the association was opposed to the proposed change suggested by the Bill. It was in favour of the Mayor being electod for two years. it was resolved to write to the City Council asking when the proposed esplanade at Oriental Bay would be put in hand.
The secretary of the association mentioned that satisfactory, returns had been received from the recent 'concert in the tea kiosk. Two new members were The association has now a membership of about ninety.
