APPEAL FOR ,£IOO,OOO. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (R-eo. August 18, 11.40 p.m.) London, August 18. The Duke of Westminster, Bad Grry, Iyord Harris, Lord Roberts, Lord Rothschild, and Lord Strnthcona have appealed for a fund of .£IOO,OOO, with which to adequately train Great Britain's toain for tho Olympic Games.
The amount sought, it is stated, is not nwrely for tho purposes of tho games. It is hoped to provide on atlllotic organisation resulting in a permanent benefit to the nation.
