Half a mile from home France? dropped out, and Little Arthur and Ripon Child went in pursuit of Calm, but were unable to make any impression on the leader, who won by "four lengths. Little Arthur and Riijoii Child were fighting out a eood finish for second place when Red Mac came with a late run and beat I.itlln Arthur by a bare length.
