In unveiling a cross at Griseloy, the Earl of Harewood, commenting on. the disuse of the village stocks, said the stocks would bo appropriate punishment for the militant Suffragettes. MRS. PANKHT7RST. (Rec. August 12, 11.10 p.m.) London, August 12. Mrs. Pankhurst, accompanied by a nurse, spoke at a Suffragist meeting at Kingsway Hall. She attributed her immunity from rearrest to the presence of the Medical Congress in London, whoso members might think that the Government, in dealing with Suffragettes, wero overstepping the rules of humanity. Mrs. Annie Kenny also spoke. The police did not interfere with tho meeting.
