KAISER'S SPEECH TO GERMAN MERCHANTS. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright Berlin, -August 11. Speaking at Lubeck, one of tho three free, or Hanse, towns of Germany, the Kaiser thanked tho Hanseatic merchants for securing for German, trade a place in the world for which other States fcnvied them. He added that he would do his utmost to protect German merchants abroad, so that they would keep their proper place in the sun. He would be tho protector of tho merchants, whose enemy would bo his enemy.
