STRONG REMARKS BY A UNITED STATES SENATOR. By Teleernph—Preja Association—Copyright ("Times"— Sydney "Sun" Special Cables.) Washington, August 10. In the Senate, Senator J. K. Vardaman made a speech in favour of the anti-negro movement. He advocated lynch law and denounced the conditions allowing blacks to work alongside whites. Ho urged the North and South to stop bickering and unite to save the country from the blacks. The speech was received with, a storm of protest and cheering.
