THE PERTH MURDER.
ACCUSED COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Perth, August 11. James O'Brien has been committed for trial for murdering Peter Hansen last month.'' He told the police that Hansen had stolen some of . his belongings and tlwut. when he went to get them back there was a struggle, and Hansen. 6eized the muzzle of his (O'Brien's) gun, which went off, Hansen being fatally shot.
The body of a man named Peter Hansen, marked by a bullet wound, was found in a bag near the township of Williams on July 29. Two neighbours went to Hansen's place and there saw O'Brien with bags tied round his feet, apparently a ruse adopted to'prevent his footmarks being traced by the police. He was arrested.
