RICCARTON TRACK FORM. THE FINAL GALLOPS. (By Telegraph.—(Special Correspondent.) Christclmrch, August 'J. The weather was cold and cheerless for .training operations this morning, but, fortunately, tho rain held off, aim an interesting morning's work was accomplished. Tho linal gallops were keenly watched- bj a largo crowd present, but nothing really sensational in tho way of fast times was accomplished. Tho outside of the grass trial track was thrown open and provided really good going. A number oi horses wc.ro"schooled over tho stoeplecha.se fences and huirdlos, and, though several really good exhibitions wero given, the displays on tho whole provided little to enthuso over.

Chiysotis was the first to work, and 1 ran a strong six l'urlongs, while 'Die Rover jumped two hurdles and afterwards did li&ilf-paoe work on the sand. Parky and Scottish Star ran 6ix furlongs in ltnin. 21 3-ssec., and) Medallist spurted four furlongs up tho track in sV'sec., the first threo being run in -llsee. Glenfinnan covered seven furlongs in lmin. 34sec., whilo Winning Way commenced on the grass track, but ran off on to tho sand, running fouir fm-longs in 51 J-53CC.

Holywell was not extended while working on the ton track, and Otehau was given half-paco work on the grass. .NgatiTuanui (G. Jones) jumped two flights of kirdlos very pleasingly, and was afterwards given half-pace work <>:n the sand.

Oxenhope (R. Berry) appealed to bo doing his best at thie end of 6ix furlongs (run in lmin. 20 4-ssoc.), while The Spaniard did several rounds on tho tap at from half to three-quarter pace.

Sea King appeared to be going very nitiely at the end of . half a mile (covered in 51 3-ssec.), while Agatha Green jumped five flights of hurdles safely. Gold Pin (R. W. King) had Kingsway (W. Donovan) well beaten at tho end of a mile, run in lmin. 52 3-ssec., while Mu.ours, assisted by Joan over the last threequarters of a mile, ran seven furlongs on the tan, in lmin. 36sec. Royßl Ckuley ran half a mile in 55 4-sscc:, and Chorale was . 'half-pace work on tho sand. Aimwoll (J. O'Brien) easily defeated Kilts (S. Murfitt) after running half a mile in 52sec.—a. very nice performance. The Cox not (Kaat) had lulmeny (P. D. Jones) well beaten at tho end of six furlongs (run in lmin. 22 2-ssec. ) Gleninoro was put to half-paco work on the-tan. Ngapuna and Rongahero ran six furlongs on tho sand at a good three-quarter pace, and Glenowl six furlongs in lmin. 23 3-ssec. Berodla (J. O'Connell) and Tho Native (M'Swoeney) gave a pleasing display over thle.big fences. The Native's exhibition was a really, good one, and earned him many friends, his pace on tho flat being especially noticeable. Pilgrim's Way (P. Woods) was going very pleasingly after running seven furlongs in lmin. 34 l-ssec., and Windage (It. Gray) went once round over tho big fences. Vice-Admiral ivas not extendod, bnt Coronotted and Daylight Bill rattled over seven furiongs in lmin. while Ceylon and Black Lupin were sent out over five furlongs, and shaped very pleasingly. Goodwin Park (L. Traill) did npt by any means give a perfect display of jumping over tho hurdles, and' he appeared to be a tr-iflo uncertain throughout. Tannhauser, Thrax, and Bulletin covered half a irnio in 53 l-ssec., and Aberbrothock did half-paco work on the sand, while Come and Jeannot galloped five fur-longs-at a good paco.
