NARROW ESCAPE.
«—9 (By Telegrimh.—Soecial Correspondent.) Wanganui, August 10. W. G. Simpson, while engaged in shunting operations at Mangaweka, narrowly escaped death ot tho railway station. It appears that lie got jammed lietween tho aids of the goods shed and one of the truck*. His dangerous position was promptly noticed, but lie wjis more or loss hurt before being extricatcd.
