W.C.T.U. Meeting. The monthly meeting of the Wellington District W.C.T.U. was held in tie Constable Street Booms on Thursday last, Mrs. Boxall presiding. The .Superintendent of Sabbath Observance reported having received a. grant for literature, to be distributed. 'I'll© sum of x XI was donated to Miss Newcomb, secretary of the Women's Suffrage Union, British Dominion Overseas. Letters of condolenc® wero directed to bo sent to tho families of two members who had pased away during the last month. Two new members wero initiated. St. John Ambulance Notes. •' The fortnigltly meeting of the Wellington South Nursing Division of St. John was held on Tuesday evening at St. James's Schoolroom. On tho invitation of the Lady Superintendent, members of tho city and Wellington South Homo Nursing olasscs also attended and the first part of the evening was spent in roller bandage practice. Later, Dr. l'latts-MiJls gavo a talk upon Temperatures, Pulsation, Fevers, etc.
Protection of Women, A meeting of the Society for tho Protection of Women, and Children was held on Friday afternoon, Mr. W. A. Evans occupying the chair. Those present weroi MosUaiues J.
