SUPPLIES WELL'' MAINTAINED. Supplier of both fruit and vegetables lwivo been well maintained at the 13lair and Allen Street markets this week, especially with regard to the latter. Cauliflowers are arriving in very large quantities and the price has fallen accordingly. Local pears are badly wanted, in fact supplies have almost ceased. A small consignment of Island oranges arrived from Auckland and sold very well when the condition was taken into consideration. This week ; s Sydney steamer brought a largo consignment of fruit, but quite a largo quantity was in very poor order. Owing to the high values that are ruling in New South Wales for Tasmanian apples and pears, this week's steamer did not havo any fruit from Eobart, the only lines arriving by this steamer being Jljldura lemons. .Eggs aro now in plentiful supply with d weak market.
