ANTI-MILITARISTS WHO CREATE DISTURBANCES. By TelesTftjh—Prosa Association—Oopyrljlit London, August 7. The Hon. Thomas Mackenzie, High Commissioner for New Zealand, has written a spirited letter to sixty-eight nowspapers, in reply to lotters warning emigrants against New Zealand. He recalls tho fact that the defence scheme .was approved at three elections, and points out that New Zealand is not far from Asia, whenco trouble may come. It would bo improper to rely on Britain in an omeTgency. More emigrants, he says, are applying than can bo taken to Now Zealand, which is well rid of immigrants who create disturbances without having the manliness to help in defending women and children.
