Bolton, F.1.A., N.Z., and certified to bo correct and properly vouchcd for, "subject to accompanying report."REMARKS. . With tho statement is issued the follow-' ing circular, iigned by Mr. J. Glover, secretary:—"Dear Comrade,—Enclosed please find copy of receipts and expenditure in connection with tho striko fund. You will note that the total income amounted to .£35,905 19s. Id.; expenditure, .£31,731 4s. 7d.; leaving a balance of ,£4244 14s. Gd. There are several items in tho. expenditure which require explaining. Tho disputes at tho different places, with tho exception of lllawarra and Timaru, w-ero caused directly • through - tho strike at Waihi. Tho amount of legal expenses includes solicitors' fees at Waihi, Auckland, Wellington,'and Reeflon in Court cases from Waihi and Reefton.' Organisers' and president's travelling expenses and allowances include expenses of travelling, etc., in connection with matter directly concerned with tho strike and lockout. Representatives' expenses; All through the Etriko one and sometimes two representatives of tho federation were in Waihi, and this item includes their expenses. Special organisers: During tho strike different members of the cxccutivo toured the country for the purpose of placing Hie true facts of tho dispute bel'or the workers."
