At. the-.coiincil meeting of the Jersey Breeders'.'Association*. held at Palmerston fifteen^,now...association . members were elected. • It was resolved that breeders importing animals shall: be required.'to notify the association of the fact, and arrange for their identification prior to acceptance for the Herd ]3oolc, the costs to bo borne by the importer. It Was. also decided to award a medal 'for-the cow giving tho greatest quantity of butter-fat in the scim-official tests for the period ending . August 1, 1013. Another. medal, is' to .be awarded for the cow giving. the. greatest quantity of butterffit over her standard during the period ending,,on;','the* sam« date. ', Both medals. cannot lie won by tho eamo'cow.. Gold medals of the association havo been won by Dr. "Watson (Bulls) for the best butter-fat record in. cows, and by Mr. J. A. It'Crea for, tho best heifer butter-fat record. , . ' ; ,
