HALL CAINE AND THE LIBRARIES. By Telegraph—Preps Association—Copyright London, August 1. Hall Caino's book, "The Woman Thou Gavest Me," previously stated by the "Book World" to be boycotted by tlie libraries, was withheld from the libraries owing to a dispute between Mr. Hall Gaino and tho Libraries' Association, tho former believing that some restriction would bo placed on its circulation. Tho association assured the novelist that Buch was not tho case, and Mr. Hall Caine accepted tho explanation.
