Considerably less than half the amount required for tlie relief voyago of Dr. Itawsou's ship Aurora has been obtained. Captain John King Davis, commander of the vessel, is at present returning from England, where lie has Loen appealing for funds. Professor David believes that Dr. Mawpnn has only one material asset on which to rely to meet expenses—namely, moving pictures of life in tho Antarctic.
